In the absence of regular support from leaders, unsafe workplace environments and processes can develop. Workplace safety leadership development is about enhancing the capacity of individual leaders and ensuring that there is a regular flow of safety information to them. This project builds on that approach, by focusing on how safety climate can be measured in workplaces, so that the information can be used to enlighten leaders on the messages they send and to develop leadership practices and policies to improve safety.
